 Years in Life Sciences

How It All Started

Our journey began in 2006 when we successfully placed our first candidate with a global CRO client in the UK. That candidate went on to have a flourishing career, and the client has remained with us ever since.

Over the past sixteen years, we have expanded our reach across the UK, Europe, and the US, helping hundreds of companies; from global biopharma giants like Amgen, to international CROs such as ICON. We’ve also had the privilege of partnering with life science start-ups and SMEs across the biopharma, biotech, pharmaceutical, and medical device sectors.

At Wentworth, we are passionate about making the right connections to drive success, and our long-lasting relationships with both clients and candidates are a testament to our commitment to excellence.

Our Values

Kindness in Action

We approach every interaction with kindness and respect, always aiming to uplift and support those around us.  Helping companies who are creating positive changes in the world is a privilege; which is why we approach our work with the upmost care and passion.

Trusted

We’re proud of the relationships we’ve built with our clients and candidates and are committed to delivering excellence in every partnership. Honesty and integrity are the cornerstone of the trusted relationships we have forged.

Tom Midmore

Managing Director

With over 25 years in executive search, my career has been built on a deep understanding of people—what drives them, where their skills shine, and how to help them reach their full potential. But beyond expertise, what truly motivates me is making a lasting impact—helping individuals advance their careers, supporting businesses in securing the right talent, and ultimately contributing to the life sciences innovations that change lives.

My passion for life sciences is both professional and deeply personal. With family members working in scientific and healthcare roles—and others affected by incurable diseases—I’ve long been driven by an inquisitive nature, a fascination with psychology, and a strong entrepreneurial spirit. I believe that the right people in the right roles don’t just help companies grow; they help bring vital new treatments to those who need them most.

Since taking over Wentworth as Managing Director and owner in 2020, I’ve shaped the company to reflect my own values—an unwavering commitment to excellence, a tailored and flexible approach, and, above all, genuine care for the people we work with. Whether we’re finding a single exceptional hire or building entire teams, we never take a one-size-fits-all approach. Our clients and candidates know they are our top priority, that we’re invested in their success, and that they can trust us completely. While technology supports and enhances what we do, it will never replace the personal connections and trust that are the foundation of our success.

At Wentworth, we don’t just match talent to roles—we build lasting partnerships that drive careers, strengthen businesses, and contribute to the future of the life sciences industry.

As a trusted partner in life sciences talent-sourcing, we specialize in connecting top-tier professionals with leading pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare organizations. With deep industry expertise, we streamline the hiring process to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Impactful

We’re passionate about making a tangible difference: to our clients, to our candidates and to the life sciences community. We really get to know your business and care deeply about our role in helping you on your mission. By finding the perfect talent, you can then create meaningful and swift impact in the world.

Wentworth Giving

One of our key motivations is knowing that when we help our clients hire the right talent, we help them get closer to providing life-changing treatments.

We also like to hear from people who need help. We’ve partnered with Make-a-Wish Foundation and have had the privilege of supporting individuals who have been impacted by rare disease.
